A total of six people have now been arrested in connection with the death of a child on Wednesday and the possible endangerment of other children.
Amber Opperman told 9-1-1 that her 3-year-old grandchild wasn’t breathing.
Arriving police were told that the child’s mother was 20 year old Makaylee Opperman.
Makaylee’s two other children were in the Michigan Street home at the time, and it was thought that all three children had taken fentanyl pills, and that no medical attention had been afforded them.
Detectives searched Makaylee’s Sycamore street home and found a 4-year old child with no supervision and in need of medical help.
Allison Smithler and Jazmynn Brown and her boyfriend Arcinial Watt also live there.
Detectives found over 5-thousand suspected fentanyl pills along with other narcotics and contraband.
All six adults were jailed on various charges.
