A number of people have been arrested in connection with the death of a child Wednesday.
Police were called to a home on East Michigan Street around 9:30 in the morning.
9-1-1 dispatchers were told that a three-year-old got hold of a fentanyl tablet, and was not taken to the hospital.
The child’s mother, 20-year-old Makaylee Opperman, faces charges of neglect causing death.
Amber and Brandon Opperman were also booked on neglect causing death charges according to the Vanderburgh County Jail web site.
