The National Weather Service confirms an EF-1 tornado Friday night in Spencer County.
It touched down near the intersection of Highway 231 and County Road 1250 North.
Estimated peak winds were 90 miles per hour.
The tornado touched down for 1.1 miles, causing significant damage to one property, including a barn that was moved about 20 feet off its foundation.
Officials don’t believe the tornado was on the ground for very long.
