Evansville police say a man arrested yesterday morning threatened to kill a woman on the West Side.
It happened about 5 o’clock Thursday morning at 801 Hess,
Police responded to a call of a person with a gun, and staged responders at Maryland and St. Joe, which is nearby.
Officers found 30 year old Chase Melton had physically assaulted a woman and threatened to kill her while brandishing a pistol.
Melton engaged in a short stand-off with police but finally surrendered without incident.
He faces numerous charges
