The Evansville Police Department is hosting a two-week training course for the Mounted Police Academy.
The course aims at teaching police how to patrol on horseback safely.
This gives officers a deeper skillset, and takes advantage of those skills when needed within the community.
The course is scheduled to finish next Thursday.
