A new memorial to the lives lost on September 11, 2001 has been risen in Greenville.
“Flags of Honor” is a memorial that has one American flag set up for each life taken on 9/11.
The flags were placed in 35 by 85 grid, with two extra at the end.
Two banners accompany each flag with their names.
While this is the 20th anniversary, the community plans on continuing to do this every year.
