A major spill of a highly corrosive chemical stopped southbound traffic coming off the Twin Bridge into Henderson for several hours.
It happened about 10:30 last (Thurs) night.
A semi carrying sodium hydroxide in liquid form developed a leak as it passed Audubon Chrysler in Henderson.
The truck was stopped and the leak contained.
Haz Mat Workers blocked the southbound lanes of 41 and they’re still cleaning up some areas of the road.
The truck apparently developed the leak and kept driving for some distance before the driver realized it.
41 South is now open to the Highway 425 exit.
