Because of challenges with staffing impacted by COVID as well as low ridership, Henderson Area Rapid Transit is making some alterations in routes starting Saturday, Aug. 21.
The “Shopper Shuttle” route will not be labeled as such for the time being. That route will be served by the East End/Eastgate bus in tandem with the North route.
Riders may need to allow extra time for the buses to run the routes.
Also, the availability of Paratransit vehicles on Saturdays may be subject to reduced hours because of staffing issues.
This new schedule will be re-evaluated in September. Riders are required to wear masks inside buses and asked to take every measure to maintain “social distancing.”
Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) has extended the mask requirement until Jan. 18, 2022. Masks must be worn over both the nose and mouth while on public transit.
