Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron is butting heads with Governor Andy Beshear over school mask policies.
Cameron called on the state Supreme Court to halt the governor’s executive order requiring masks in all schools.
Last year, Cameron filed a lawsuit after Beshear suspended in-person classes in the wake of the pandemic.
He says the move has nothing do with the whether masks are a good idea.
Cameron said it’s because the General Assembly passed laws that ask the governor to consult with them on statewide decisions.
