Evansville police say a woman’s son was found blocks from her location, so was charged with neglect.
Officers were dispatched to Fulton Avenue at West Delaware where a caller reported a child wearing a t-shirt and diaper was apparently unattended.
The mother, 26 year old Brook Lowe, was found by officers on West Iowa Street.
Arriving officers noted that Lowe immediately scolded the child who, thinking he was in trouble, started crying.
Lowe ignored police commands and yelled at officers, and tried to avoid being arrested.
She is charged with neglect and resisting arrest.
