Evansville Police respond to a robbery at the Marathon gas station, 326 S. Kentucky Avenue a couple of minutes after 5 this (Thurs) morning.
A police spokeswoman says a man walked into the store, pulled a gun which he pointed at the clerk, and demanded money.
The robber apparently got some money with which he escaped on foot.
He’s described as a Black male wearing black clothing with a gray hat and a white mask.
Police are looking at security video in the hopes of getting a good picture of him.
In addition, Chandler police and Warrick deputies responded at about the same time when someone called the Circle S. at 1st and State Street in Chandler and said the caller was on the way to shoot up the store.
No one showed up.
