Evansville police got little to no cooperation at the scene of a shooting early Saturday morning.
Officers heard gunshots in the 300 block of Taylor Avenue about 1:15 in the morning, and dispatch told them they’ received several calls of shots at about the same time.
They arrived at the scene to find several cars leaving the area, and people yelling that someone had been shot.
Officers were directed to the 1400 block of Judson where they found a car had broken through a fence and had hit two houses.
They found the victim, 19 year old Kielyn Toone inside he vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.
Toone died Sunday night.
Police dealt with some crowd control issues caused by a birthday party on Taylor.
Investigators found more than 50 shell casings in a two-block area of Judson, and several more on Taylor.
