About 40 supporters of weapon carrying attended a Thursday nigh rally in Union County in support of second amendment rights called for by the 2100-member Union County United group.
Some of those attending wore their guns, which is legal in Kentucky.
The event comes as Congressional lawmakers consider new gun control legislation.
Legislators weren’t able to attend the rally but statements of support were received from some lawmakers such as Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul.
