Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding has removed his chief deputy, who is also campaigning to replace Wedding in the 2022 election.
Noah Robinson’s campaign said over the weekend that his demotion had to do with an attack text aimed at Robinson’s opponent, Jason Ashworth.
Wedding said there is tension in the department as he and his chief deputy were not fitting together.
