Police are piecing together the events of recent hours, and trying to determine exactly how a man whose body was found by Highway 41 died.
The unidentified man’s body was found in a ditch in front of the Comfort Inn on Highway 41 North. He’s described as an elderly man
It was reported to dispatchers around 6:50 this (Thursday) morning. Numerous police and other emergency responders were called, including the coroner.
Police say the hotel has no record of the man staying there. It’s thought that he may be the victim of a hit and run, and that it may have happened overnight.
