Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke says he wants to insure that “E” really is for everyone.
That may include a partnership with the National Network for Safe Communities.
The group would evaluate the city’s neighborhoods and make unique recommendations on how to curb crime at the local level.
Winnecke will present the idea to the city council on Monday.
He says similar programs have worked well in other cities. If approved, the partnership would be implemented over the next two years.
