New guidelines introduced last week by Indiana health officials take effect today…
…these are guidelines concerning contact tracing and quarantining in schools.
Indiana state health commissioner Dr. Kris Box says as long as individuals in schools wear their masks and stay at least three feet apart in class, a potential exposure to COVID won’t result in a quarantine or contact tracing.
But, for those situations in which students re not required to mask-up, such as during lunch and athletic events and classes where students desks are not six feet apart, an exposure will lead to quarantine but for less than two weeks.
