The annual Polar Plunge to benefit Indiana Special Olympics raised over $21,000 on Saturday at Scales Lake Park in Boonville. WIKY Morning Host Dennis Jon Bailey served as co-MC with Channel 14’s Byron Douglas, and what turned out to be truly “polar” feeling day. WIKY Midday personality Debra Miller was one of the days many “plungers” that helped to make money for the cause, while “Freezin’ for a reason” which was the event’s theme.
