Two people showed up at an Evansville hospital with gunshot wounds early Sunday morning.
E-P-D says they were among five people in a car eastbound on the Lloyd when one of them spit gum out the window.
The wad may have hit a dark passenger car to the right.
A man in that car reportedly showed a gun and pulled up next to the victim’s car firing several times.
Two people were hit and there were five bullet holes in the car.
The victims will recover.
Police are asking the public’s help in the incident.
