Traffic Accident Fatality

One person has died after being hit by a car on Diamond Avenue. It happened near Stringtown Road just after 8:30 p.m. Indiana State Police say the person was trying to cross three lanes of traffic when he was hit. He was taken to Deaconess Midtown, but died from his injuries. Westbound Diamond Avenue was closed for a couple of hours following the accident.
