Police make an arrest in a carjacking on Sunburst Boulevard.
A woman told authorities 18-year-old Jai Harris approached her a little after 5:00 am Sunday. He allegedly showed her a gun and demanded that she take off running.
Officers say they saw the van pulling into a store at Riverside and Boeke, but it left when police tried to pull it over. Harris then crashed on a dead-end street and took off running.
Officers later found Harris at the ball fields near Pollack and Vann. Harris told officers he threw the gun out of the car during the chase. Police found a stolen .45 in a driveway along the route.
