Federal jury trials are off the table through at least late January in Indiana’s Southern District.
Chief Judge Jane E. Magnus-Stinson signed the order, suspending all in-person jury trials in all divisions of the U.S. District Court until at least January 25.
The action was taken because of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
The Southern District has courts in Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Evansville and New Albany.
