The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library will host the Kurt Vonnegut Traveling Exhibit from the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library in Indianapolis in the lobby of EVPL Central through Wednesday,November 26.
Kurt Vonnegut is a Hoosier native and the writer of several titles including Slaughterhouse-Five and Cat’s Cradle. The exhibit consists of seven standup displays, a typewriter similar to the one Vonnegut used to type his novels, a 1960s-
inspired desk similar to Vonnegut’s, and two interactive iPad kiosks.
Visitors can learn more about Vonnegut’s work, see his notes and drawings, and watch Vonnegut at various speaking
engagements.
“A writer whose career spanned over five decades, we hope this traveling exhibit will allow library users to reflect on the
work and impact of Kurt Vonnegut,” said EVPL CEO-Director Scott Kinney. “We extend our thanks to the KurtVonnegut Museum and Library for the opportunity to host this interactive display.”
The public may visit EVPL Central to see the display during limited in-person service hours, Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. More details at www.evpl.org
