The 2020 Holiday Season is a few weeks away yet, but it starts now as far as the local Salvation Army is concerned.
They kicked off their annual Red Kettle campaign a bit early this year in the hopes of producing more funds to meet increased local needs.
Right now they’re looking for volunteers to ring the bells.
They need them, because if they don’t fill all the spots, people will have to be paid to be ringers, and that cuts into the receipts needed for local projects.
The goal this year is $275-thousand.
