Kentucky State Police have charged a man in connection with a string of burglaries in three counties.
According to a release from KSP, troopers conducting a traffic stop near Fordsville, Kentucky found stolen debit and social security cards in a truck driven by Robert Simpson, 29, of Hawesville.
A further search of Simpson’s home turned up a multitude of stolen property connected to burglaries in Daviess, Ohio, and Breckinridge Counties.
Simpson, and a passenger, Kelsey Berry, 27, of Hawesville, were taken to the Daviess County Detention Center.
Simpson was charged with:
- 1) Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon
- 2) Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000
- 3) Theft – Receipt of Stolen Credit Cards
- 4) Theft of Identity of Another without Consent
- 5) Receiving Stolen Property Under $500.
- 6) Fraudulent Use of Credit Card After Stolen or Lost Under $500
- 7) No Insurance
- 8) Failure to Wear Seatbelt
- 9) Improper Turn Signal
Berry was charged with the following:
- 1) Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000
- 2) Theft – Receipt of Stolen Credit Cards
- 3) Theft of Identity of Another without Consent
- 4) Receiving Stolen Property Under $500.
- 5) Fraudulent Use of Credit Card After Stolen or Lost Under $500
