The new operating budget for the University of Southern Indiana comes in at six million dollars less than the previous year.
The Board of Trustees gave its approval to the $113.9 million dollar budget yesterday (Thursday).
The budget decrease is a result of a seven percent reduction in state funding, and lower enrollment, leading to fewer credit hours earned.
