Construction is getting under way on a new 50-mega-watt solar farm at Troy, Indiana.
The new facility will serve customers of Vectren, a CenterPoint company.
When combined with the company’s 4-mega-watt solar power array already in service, there will be enough power generated to serve 12-thousand households a year.
The new array will include 150-thousand solar panels sprawled over 300 acres along Indiana State Road 545 between Troy and New Boston.
It should enter service in early 2021.
