In Vanderburgh County and other places, voters are showing up at early voting locations in unprecedented numbers.
So what happens with the early votes?
County Clerk Carla Hayden says all in-person and mail-in votes are being put into secrecy envelopes where they will be held until election day.
On that morning, at 7am, 50 people will start unsealing the votes at the Old National Events Plaza and carrying them across the street to the Civic Center and counted.
For those who vote in-person on election day… their votes will be counted instantly.
