Evansville native Don Mattingly is the National League Manager of the Year.
The designation comes from Sporting News magazine.
Mattingly led the Miami Marlins to the second round of the MLB Playoffs despite player shortages due to the pandemic.
Mattingly posted a 31 and 29 regular season record, their first winning posting since 2009.
Miami swept the Chicago Cubs in the National League wildcard race, but fell to the Braves in the division series.
