Vanderburgh County’s health board is recommending stricter restrictions in an effort to curb the recent spike in COVID cases.
In a virtual meeting yesterday afternoon, the health board recommended that gatherings and indoor sporting events be restricted to no more than 50 people.
They’re also recommending that bars go back to operating at 50 percent capacity and close at midnight.
Mayor Winnecke, though, says he prefers his own executive order that restricts gatherings to 125 people and require health department approval.
That goes into effect on Monday.
