Work is getting under way for a transportation project known as The Lloyd 4U.
State transportation officials say it involves more than a dozen projects to make the Lloyd safer and more efficient.
The changes include continuous flow intersections, a bridge replacement, and repaving.
The work will be done in two phases.
The first phase will extend from Rosenberger to Cross Point with Phase Two going from the Posey County line to Rosenberger.
The price tag for the projects exceeds $100-million.
