The man rescuers pulled from the Ohio River near Angel Mounds Boat Ramp has died.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office identifies him as 55 year old Tommy Lee.
He reportedly fell into the river over the weekend, and drifted down-river for as much as ten minutes before rescuers were able to get to him.
He was unresponsive and had no pulse when he was pulled from the water, and rescuers performed CPR on him as he was transported to hospital.
He died the next day.
The coroner’s office says the cause of death was drowning.
The manner of death will depend on toxicology reports that are still pending.
