The winner of the Ellis Park Derby was supposed to find an automatic spot in the Kentucky Derby field.
But Art Collector will have to sit this one out.
The horse’s trainer says the colt nicked a bulb on his left front foot while running on the turf at Churchill Downs on Monday.
Track rules say the horse cannot be treated with an anti-inflammatory and still run in Saturday’s race.
