An Evansville man charged in connection with the 2017 shooting deaths of a young couple will plead guilty to reckless homicide.
In a plea deal filed Friday, 22 year old William Rice will accept a 20 year sentence.
One of the shooting victims, 29 year old Dewone Broomfield, identified Rice and 25-year old Deshay Hackner as the shooters while on the phone with 9-1-1.
Broomfield later died.
28 year old Mary Woodruff was dead when officers arrived.
Rice is also accused of stabbing another inmate with a pen while awaiting trial.
He will be sentenced August 7.
