Bosse Field will remain largely quiet this summer.
The Evansville Otters and the Frontier League announced today that the 2020 baseball season will be canceled.
The season was originally postponed April 1 in response to the lock-down and quarantine occasioned by the COVID-19 virus.
In a joint statement issued around 10am today, the team and the league say the COVID-19 virus is the direct cause of the cancellation of the season.
They say many options were considered that might permit play this summer, but in the long run, unresolved regulatory and health issued made playing unfeasible.
