The Children’s Learning Center on the USI Campus is not re-opening.
The CLC closed March 18 along with the rest of the USI campus.
Thus, the normal recruitment of new children to the center didn’t happen — causing a critical shortfall to the facility’s 2020/21 budget.
Add to that a spate of serious, and costly repairs to the building now occupied by the CLC.
USI is working with 4C of Southern Indiana to develop options for the children served by the center and to help find employment for the seven center staff members who are being displaced.
