Sep 10 (Field Level Media) – Five-star guard NaVorro Bowman Jr. has committed to UConn’s 2027 recruiting class, multiple outlets reported on Thursday.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound senior from Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif., is the son of four-time All-Pro linebacker NaVorro Bowman.
The younger Bowman is ranked as the No. 1 prospect in California, the No. 2 combo guard in the country and the No. 11 player nationally by the 247Sports Composite.
Over the summer, he helped Team USA win a gold medal at the FIBA U-17 World Cup in Turkey by averaging 11.9 points and 3.6 assists per game. He also averaged 20.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals on the Nike EYBL Circuit.
Bowman’s father posted 798 tackles, 14 sacks, seven forced fumbles and five interceptions in 99 NFL games (84 starts) with the San Francisco 49ers (2010-13, 2015-17) and then-Oakland Raiders (2017).
