An Indiana State Trooper is being credited with helping to save a man’s life.
Trooper Blake Leary responded within 5 minutes after being dispatched to Wildridge Resort near Birdseye.
He immediately jumped into action by applying a tourniquet to a man suffering from a severe chainsaw injury to his leg.
Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly afterward and transported the man to a helicopter for transfer to a trauma center.
He is currently reported to be in stable condition.
