Ambulance services could change soon for residents living just outside of Evansville.
County officials are looking for providers and are currently accepting proposals for an ambulance service for those areas.
The Evansville Fire Department finalized a contract earlier this month for employees who will work for the city’s new fire-based EMS launching July 1.
Officials with AMR say they have already lost staff after the city decided EFD would handle ambulance services in the city and may have to cancel services for the rest of 2026.
A special meeting will be held on June 16th to make a final decision on county services.
