A Dawson Springs woman is in jail after her dog bit an officer during a traffic stop.
Debra Cates was pulled over when a Madisonville Police Officer spotted her driving on the wrong side of the road.
She claims she forgot it was a one-way street.
Police say she appeared to be under the influence and could not keep a straight train of thought.
While being interviewed, Cate’s dog jumped out of the back window and bit the officer’s arm.
After failing a sobriety test, Cates was arrested.
The officer was taken to the hospital.
