The man accused of murdering three people in a Haubstadt home has been ruled competent to stand trial.
Patrick Waite was arrested back in May after he opened fire and murdered several people.
The ruling was made earlier this week after an insanity defense was filed.
His defense team has filed a separate request for a different sanity hearing.
That hearing is scheduled to take place next month.
His defense team claims he was the victim of elder abuse and fraud by his wife and her family.
Waite’s trial is set to start in May.
