Area firefighters are asking people to clear snow around fire hydrants.
The Vanderburgh County Fire Department is asking residents to help them out by clearing at least three feet of snow around any fire hydrants near their house.
This can help them save critical minutes in case of fires, not only by helping them quickly find the hydrant, but also by connecting their hoses.

Most people don’t even clean sidewalks. You think someone is going to dig out fire hydrants?
