A representative from Owensboro is proposing an amendment to help ease the child care crisis in Kentucky.
DJ Johnson says House Bill 190 would change the definition that determines how many kids are allowed in each daycare center.
Without reducing safety, this could help centers financially stay afloat.
He wants to adjust this to account for hallways and bathrooms.
This is only the first step.
The Bill still needs to pass the House and the Senate.
