Teen Had No Substances In System During Fatal Crash

Results from a toxicology report taken on 19-year-old Parker Payne have been released.

According to the Posey County Sheriff’s Office, the teen had no alcohol or any intoxicants in his system.

Payne was killed in a fatal crash in November on State Road 65.

Deputies found his pick-up wrapped around a tree.

Payne had died on the scene.

Originally, alcohol was believed to have played a role in the crash.

Posey County Sheriff Tom Latham has issued an apology to the family for the inaccurate, premature information.
