The mother of a Wayne County, Illinois, child who died after being left in a hot car wants her prison sentence reduced.
There was supposed to be a hearing last week after 38-year-old Aydreian Hooper filed a motion asking the court to do so.
Hooper was sentenced to ten years in prison for the July 2024 death of her 17-month old boy.
According to the filing, Hooper and her lawyer believe the sentence is excessive.
The other child, a toddler, survived being left in the hot SUV during a heat advisory.
However, he is left with permanent injuries.
The hearing, originally set for December 9th, has been pushed back to February.
