An Evansville firefighter was injured while on the scene of a house fire.
Crews were called to the 2500 block of S. Green River Road around 9:30 Wednesday night.
Crews went into the home looking for the resident but learned that they were in a nursing home.
A mayday call came in 15 minutes later for a firefighter who had fallen through a hole in the floor.
The fire spread to the attic, but it is believed to have started in the basement.
The firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
