Country music group Lady Antebellum is making a big change.
The group announced on Thursday that it will drop the word “Antebellum” from the name it has used since its formation in 2006 and go by Lady A, a nickname that fans have long used.
The group said in a statement that the change comes after band members realized the word’s association to slavery.
