Nearly 300 soldiers with the Indiana National Guard arrived in the Nation’s Capital on Saturday.
They are there in support of the Safe and Beautiful mission.
The Hoosier Guardsmen will assist local and federal law enforcement.
Their assignment includes conducting community safety patrols to reduce crime and minimize property damage.
Soldiers have been training at Camp Atterbury since mid-November for the upcoming mission.
