Downtown Evansville is gearing up for the holiday season.
This is the eighth year the Downtown Evansville Improvement District has activated and decorated the streets and key pedestrian corridors.
New this year is an 18-foot oversized vintage-style spool of lights located in the 100 block of Main.
On Monday, the Tunnel of Light will be installed.
This will include nearly 14,000 lights illuminating the tunnel of Old National Bank’s Headquarters at One Main.
The date for the “A Downtown Christmas” event, which includes the lighting of the Christmas tree, is scheduled for December 6.
