CenterPoint Energy customers will soon see a credit on their utility bills.
Starting next month, customers will see a $3.00 monthly credit for about six months.
This will be part of two “affordability actions” by the utility company in response to customer concerns.
Officials say it’s also part of a renewed commitment to transparency.
The second action will come next year when the company plans to keep rates near or below inflation.
This will amount to a savings of nearly $18.00 per month.
